My girlfriend was diagnosed with Hemoglobin E-beta Thalassemia. That means she doesn’t produce enough red blood cells. So every 2 weeks to a month she has to go to the hospital to get a blood transfusion. This process takes about 5 to 6 hours and let me tell you, waiting is not fun at all. Especially when you have nothing to do. Yes the hospital has wi-fi and a t.v but c’mon who stays on the computer or t.v for that long. I know I don’t cause I know I’ll get bored of both. On top of that you start to get hungry. Trust me hospital food isn’t all that great. It looks good but taste like poop. So you got to go out and buy food and parking is like 3 dollars (yes I’m complain about this! )

You know for her I don’t mind that I’m bored, starving to death or spending at least $10 for parking. I’ll do anything for her. I’ll fly to another state for with her if she needs blood. I’ll sleep on uncomfortable chairs. No matter how much blood freaks me out, I’ll stay there with her just to make sure she’s okay. Anything for her. She has been nothing but good to me, and I can at least be there for her when she needs me the most. Cause I know this is something she doesn’t like. She’s been doing this her whole life until now. Seeing her feel well is just to priceless. So I don’t mind doing this for the rest of my life
